SAVANNAH- Mattielene Williams Taylor, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away into eternal peace Wednesday morning at St. Joseph’s Hospital.
She was born and grew up in Coffee County, Georgia, the only daughter born to Rev. Johnny and Mattie Vickers of Douglas, Georgia. She was a longtime part of the Savannah Community and taught at Savannah Tech until her retirement.
She is survived by her loving husband, Wendell L. Taylor of Savannah; her only child, Hayla Williams Olson and her husband, Jim Olson; and two grandchildren, Megan Olson and Benjamin Olson.
